Contents
1.1 Overview
The IDT, Merge Tool and USB map tool are the auxiliary
software of K3 V200R001 platform that is developed by HiSilicon.
The IDT is used to download images and merge images
during platform development and reference design.
To be specific, the IDT is used to not only download images
on the K3V200R001 platform in the terminal production line,
but also download and merge images in batches in the laboratory.
The function of the IDT is described in Table 1-1.
1.2 Running Environment
Merge Tool
The Merge Tool is a Win32 console program that runs under the PC command line.
1.3 Configuration RequirementsSoftware Requirements
The following software requirements must be met to ensure that the IDT runs on the PC properly:

Operating system: Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows Server

Drivers: Android phone driver, and driver for the USB virtual serial port (VCOM)

Merge tool: Merge Tool

Download tool: IDT
Hardware Requirements
The following hardware requirements must be met to ensure that the IDT runs on the PC properly:
2 Setting Up the Download Environment
2.1 Preparation
Software and Hardware Configurations
Ensure that the software and hardware configurations of the PC
meet the requirements described in section 1.3 "Configuration Requirements."
Installing the USB Driver
Install the drivers for the USB virtual serial port and USB Android debug bridge
(ADB) device by following the "USB Driver Installation Guide".
Installing the IDT
IDT is a green software that do not need to be installed. Decompress the
IDT_V200.rar file to the PC for using directly.
2.2 USB MAP Configuration
To configure the USB mapping, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Insert eight USB cables in the eight USB ports of the USB hub s
eparately, mark eight ports with IDs 1–8.
Step 2 Double-click USB MAP.exe, as shown in Figure 2-1.
2.3 Viewing the Information About USB Virtual Serial Ports and ADB Devices
Perform the following steps:
Step 1 Choose Start > Run, enter regedit, and click OK.
The Registry Editor window is displayed.
Step 2 Choose HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Hisilicon > IDT >ENUMERATIONS
to view the registration information about USB virtual
serial ports and ADB devices. See Figure 2-4.

3 GUI Description of the IDT
3.1 Main GUI
Figure 3-1 shows the main GUI of the

The main GUI of the IDT is divided into five areas.

3.2 Menu Bar
File Menu
Figure 3-2 shows the File menu, and

View Menu
The View menu allows you to open or close the toolbar,
Workspace window, or Outputwindow on the main GUI as follows:

Selected: The toolbar, Workspace window, and Output window are activated

(they are displayed on the main GUI).

Deselected: The toolbar, Workspace window, and Output window are not activated
-
(they are not displayed on the main GUI)

3.3 Toolbar
Figure 3-6 shows the toolbar of the IDT, and Table 3-5 describes the functions of shortcut icons.

3.4 Workspace Window
The Workspace window displays nodes in a tree structure. Each node USB n (n = 1–8)
maps to a USB port.
To view logs of a node, right-click the node, and choose Show Latest Log
or Show All Logfrom the shortcut menu, as shown in Figure 3-7.
Table 3-6 describes the functions of menu items.
3.5 Download Window
The download window has six states.

3.6 Output Window
The Output window displays the running information about the IDT.
The messages in red indicate errors or warnings, as shown in Figure 3-14.
